In the stunning historical city of Lisbon, Portugal, during the '80s, a female painter and one interior designer (whom father and uncle were architects) gave birth (again) to a little man — me. I grew up in a cultural environment, which defined my passions for creativity and, consequently, my professional path as an animator, designer, and illustrator. I owe a lot to one of the most influential investors of my life — my beloved late Grandmother. I spent a lot of my childhood with her. She used to call me TONE.

Biography
I was born to create.
I was born in the '80s in Lisbon, Portugal. After completing Design graduation, I started my independent professional journey. As a young fresh-graduated, I might need self-improvement and life experiences to achieve better projects or even an outstanding job. So I moved one year to Barcelona to enroll in a Master's Degree in Branding. I came back to Lisbon with the title. Luckily, I signed with the leading branding company in Portugal — Ivity Brand Corp — and later with a prestigious multinational advertising agency — Leo Burnett Lisboa — and the rest is history. I find inspiration in everything life offers me.
Consequently, like nature, my works tend to be unique, and I leave my mark on them whenever I can. My biggest passions are something in between sculpture, illustration, and animation. Besides the business solutions I provide, sometimes these passions are suitable for your project. I am currently only working remotely from Lisbon. For more information, please get in touch:

I am a certified multi-award-winning animator, designer, and illustrator working in my studio, based in Lisbon. I have a BA in Design (IADE) and a Master in Branding (Elisava). Theoretic and pragmatic bases sustain my professional path.

With more than ten years of experience, I helped more than seventy businesses through my disentangled power. Some of them resulted in several awards — nine international, thirteen individually, and more than fifty collectively in the agency environment. In every single project, there is a concern to communicate strategical viewpoints. There are always expectations to manage and objectives to achieve. Despite sometimes the demand only asks for accomplishments. If You are brave and a challenger, it may sound like a cliché: I want to make You comfortable. How? I've been distinguished for singular and collective works by prestigious experts from the industry. I usually don't look for awards, but luckily, I have conquered some local and international, maybe because the best people surrounded me. In 2011, I moved to Barcelona and missed my country's cultural heritage. I illustrated a set of Portuguese historical characters for theFestas de Lisboa (Sardines Contest) to fulfill that feeling. They're a national success because of the symbolism they carry. They also got selected for the 500 sardines book, a collection of most loved sardines between 2003 and 2013. In 2012, I started working with Ivity Brand Corp — the leading Portuguese branding agency. I was part of an award-winning team recognized as The Best Design Agency of Portugal in multiple national festivals. However, in 2014, I partnered with João Amaral(AMRL) for the Young Lions Portugal competition. We solve a design briefing with Inverted discoveries, winning a Bronze. The following year, 2015, I got shortlisted in Festas de Lisboa for the illustration I created: Portuguese Terrace — a tribute to my beloved dog named Picasso. I partnered again with João and projected Minimall, winning the Gold Prize and leading us to Cannes Lions representing Portugal. Next year, I signed with Leo Burnett. In 2018, I helped Leo Burnett Lx conquer several awards, namely The Best Agency of 2018 in CCP Awards. Thanks to that, I got two elections as The Best Illustrator and The Best Designer of 2018. In 2020, I moved further, and I projected ºOrbit for Huawei Theme Design Awards, winning Inspirational Spark. In 2021, I left Leo Burnett Lisboa and started my independent business. Although I am not on that team anymore, my work for Guinness is still getting awards. In CCP, they got two golds and seven silvers. In ADCE, they conquered a Silver. Recently, I got elected Best Illustrator and received nominations for best designer and art director of 2021. Nowadays, I can get the same adrenaline of mystery by creating purpose-built solutions.
